Clans

Team up with your friends and fight together.

Last updatedMay 20264 VIEWS

Why die alone when you can die together?

HWS clans are tightly integrated into the gameplay experience, so teaming up with friends feels smooth and natural.

When you're in the same clan:

  • You can't hurt each other.
  • You automatically get access to each other's locks.
  • You can use private clan chat with /c <message>.

Clan chat messages are relayed to the HWS Frontier clan page and, if enabled, to your Discord server through the Discord <-> in-game integration. That means your team can stay connected even when everyone is not in-game at the same time.

Discord Integration#

If you'd like to sync clan chat messages and clan events with your own Discord server, you can. Setup is simple, but the clan owner must have a Colonist+ subscription tier.

Before setup, the clan leader must link their Discord and HWS Frontier accounts on the profile page.

Then invite the HWS Rust Chat bot to your Discord server using this link:

https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=1501704689186504885&scope=bot&permissions=550024334336

After the bot is added:

  1. Run /hws setup in your Discord server.
  2. Click the option you want: "Connect clan chat" or "Connect events".

That's it. Messages from in-game clan chat and the website will then be forwarded to your Discord server.

Rankings#

Whenever you kill another player while you're part of a clan, your clan earns Clan Points. These points determine your position on the leaderboard, where everyone can see the strongest clans. Not all kills are equal. Players with HWS Level 1 do not give any Clan Points, and higher-level players are worth more clan points.

You can track your clan's rank on your clan page in HWS Frontier or in the Rankings sub-page.

Clans reset with every full wipe, including clan points, so holding the top position means earning it again each season.

If your clan starts slow, don't stress. Consistent fights and teamwork matter more than one big day.
